About This Position
POSITION OVERVIEW
LIV UNLTD & Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics is looking for Summer Camp Counselors that are responsible for supporting all aspects of the Children Services Division & Camp. Qualified candidates must be able to interact with children, parents, staff, and local leaders.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Camp Counselor your Duties include, but are not limited to:
Work with a group of campers and provide a fun, safe, and exciting camp experience
Cooperate with fellow Counselors and Camp Director
Greet families and campers upon arrival
Guide and lead recreational and educational activities throughout the day (such as swimming, crafting, and outdoor games)
Ability to adapt and keep our campers active
Be knowledgeable of camper medical or dietary concerns with the ability to provide emergency care
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to follow strenuous activities like swimming, running, crouching, or carrying children)
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must have at least one year of college experience
Experience working with children in multiple age groups
Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
Ability to work in hot/humid summer climates.
Must be highly organized and possess a high level of communication skills.
Ability to pass a background check and any potential random drug screens, per company policy as permitted by federal and state law.
Ability to work a minimum of 8 weeks of the summer Monday-Friday, Hours and schedules may vary (Camp hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
