Eagle Physicians & Associates is seeking a dynamic, professional, and self-motivated Multi-Task Front Office/Phone room clerical staff member to join our team at Eagle Gastroenterology Team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of medical office experience and possess excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. This position plays a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring efficient front-office operations.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Shift hours may vary based on the needs of the practice as determined by the Practice Administrator
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of medical office experience required.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software preferred.

Support staff hired at a 0.50 FTE or greater on or after April 1, 2024, are eligible for our structured retention bonus program:
- $750 at 6 months
- $750 at 12 months
- $1,000 at 18 months
- $1,000 at 24 months
Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave
After one year of employment and 1,250 hours worked, Eagle provides up to two weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child. Leave is prorated based on FTE status.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare encounter forms for billing.
- Check encounter forms against appointment schedule and make any necessary corrections.
- Answers telephone and communicates messages to the appropriate person.
- Greets patients, with positive attitude.
- Make patient appointments when necessary.
- Update demographic and insurance information on patients at check-in.
- Collects payments and outstanding balances. Notify Nurse/Provider upon patient arrival.
- Assist in whatever administrative and clerical back up is needed which may include faxing, processing mail, photocopying, data entry, filing and telephoning.
- Assist with scanning of medical records.
- Shows respect, courtesy and advocacy in all dealings with all people, including, but not limited to patients, coworkers, and visitors.
- Displays a team-oriented spirit, indicated by a willingness to assist where and whenever needed.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Writes legibly and with correct grammar and sentence structure.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and maintains security of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Does not exhibit, divulge, copy or remove the contents of any record or report except to fulfill work assignments.
