About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Property Management (Apartment) Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of administrative support in an accounting department capacity. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with general ledger reconciliation, month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and process journal entries
- Support the Accounts Payable function by processing invoices and payments and Accounts Receivable
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with preparation of project agreements and general admin tasks
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of property management accounting experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in using accounting software AND Proficiency with Property Management software (Yardi, App Folio etc)
- Strong admin support acumen and understanding of financial concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
