Job Title: Estimator – Sheet Metal & CNC

Location: Fairfield NJ

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Analyze labor, materials, and machine time needed for projects.
  • Prepare accurate quotes for both sheet metal and CNC machining work.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales to ensure estimates align with production capabilities and customer requirements.
  • Communicate with vendors to get material and subcontract pricing.
  • Maintain and update costing databases and quote logs.
  • Provide value-engineering suggestions to improve cost efficiency.
  • Ensure timely submission of bids and quotes.

    • Qualifications

    Permanent Resident/US Citizen

    ERP system experience (EPICOR is highly preferred)

    Experience in Defense and Aerospace industries

    Manufacturing Familiarity with CNC machining and Sheet metal fabrication and other relevant processes

    Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings and understanding of critical to quality features
