Operations and Marketing Assistant
A growing boat charter company based in Italy is looking for a proactive Remote Operations & Marketing Assistant to support day-to-day operations and help execute light marketing activities.
Part--time: 15 hours per week
Working Hours: Italian business hours
Engagement Type: Fully Remote, Independent Contractor
Monthly Rate: $300-480

What You'll Be Doing:
Operations & Administration
- Manage incoming client inquiries through email and booking platforms, addressing both retail customers and agency partners.
- Access and update the booking portal to verify availability, boat specifications, and pricing.
- Respond to common client questions using templates, AI tools, or guidance from ownership.
- Coordinate with tourism agencies and partners to facilitate collaborations and referrals.
- Research competitors, pricing trends, vendors, and service providers to inform operational strategies.
- Provide support for general operational tasks to ensure seamless daily workflows.
Marketing & Social Media Support
- Manage and maintain company social media accounts, primarily Instagram and Facebook.
- Schedule and publish posts according to content provided by the owners.
- Perform basic design tasks, including creating visuals, captions, and resizing images.
- Assist with email marketing initiatives, including setting up and distributing newsletters using owner-provided content.
- Research and engage with potential business partners and collaborators.
- Coordinate with external freelancers or agencies for advanced marketing activities, such as advertising campaigns and creative projects.
Coordination & Support
- Serve as the central point of coordination among owners, freelancers, and partners.
- Assist in organizing internal marketing and operational activities.
- Maintain clear and organized communication and documentation of ongoing tasks.
- With 3 or more years of experience in administrative, operations, or virtual assistant roles.
- Comfortable managing client communications via email and online platforms.
- Basic experience with social media management, particularly Instagram and Facebook.
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, or travel-related industries.
- Basic design and photo editing skills using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, or similar.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or equivalent).
- Proficient with Google Workspace and basic CRM or booking systems.
- Strong written English skills; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable using AI tools and automation to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Experience in the yacht charter industry is highly desirable.
