Position Summary

The Lawn Care & Maintenance Technician is responsible for regular mowing and maintenance at residential homes and commercial businesses.

Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal landscape work, including mowing, string trimming, weeding, dead-heading, bed cleanup, aerating, and leaf removal

• Maintaining several sites in commercial and residential settings on a rotation

• Operation and maintenance of small equipment and hand and power tools

• Diagnose and report pest problems and turf/plant diseases to supervisors

• Communicate regularly with homeowners, property managers, laborers, and supervisors

• Supervision of a small crew may be required for lead mowers

Qualifications

• Knowledge in seasonal and long-term care of turf and planting beds

• Individual commercial pesticide applicator certification (preferred but not required)

• Attention to detail

• Work as part of a team or alone

• Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand, bend consecutively for hours at a time

• Work in all weather conditions i.e. rain, snow, extreme heat, etc.

• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean driving record
