We are looking for a motivated R&D Engineer I – Patient Screening that is the technical gatekeeper for clinical trial enrollment. This role uses engineering principles to analyze patient anatomy via CT imaging to ensure a "perfect fit" between the patient and our structural heart technology.

HOW YOU WILL CONTIRBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
1. Imaging Analysis: Perform precise 2D and 3D reconstructions of patient CT scans (DICOM data) using specialized imaging software.
2. Anatomical Measurement: Execute standardized measurement protocols for cardiac structures to determine eligibility based on strict clinical trial inclusion/exclusion criteria.
3. Reporting: Generate clean, data-driven screening reports for the Clinical and R&D teams, highlighting potential anatomical risks or "screen-fail" justifications.
4. Data Integrity: Maintain the screening database with high accuracy to ensure all regulatory and quality compliance standards are met.
5. Model Design and Manufacturing: Design anatomical heart models from DICOM reconstructions and 3D print the models to support case preparation.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications)
Education
o Required a B.S. in Biomedical engineering or a related field.
Experience
o 0 to 3 years in med-device R&D, Quality, or Clinical Ops.
Knowledge
o Basic knowledge of structural heart anatomy.
o Understanding of digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) standards and Computed Tomography (CT) fundamentals.
Skills
o Proficient in anatomical modeling and 3D imaging software (e.g., Materialise Mimics, 3mensio, or TeraRecon).
o Proficient computer skills that include standard computer applications (word processing, database management, spreadsheets, etc).
o Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
