Job Summary
Successfully meets the needs of patients and families by delivering excellent patient care, performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a compassionate and safe manner. Utilizes ultrasound equipment and manipulates technical controls to attain quality diagnostic images and performs procedures in accordance with established practices. Contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment and maintains adequate records by reviewing physician orders for accuracy and completing all post exam activities associated with patient's exam.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $44.41–$62.69. This reflects the base salary.
Key Accountabilities
    Deliver excellent patient care by demonstrating compassion, thoroughly explaining procedures to patients, providing patient comfort, answering patient questions and completing exams in a timely manner Prepare patient for Imaging exams by reviewing provider orders and notes, confirming correct exam to be performed, accurately assessing patient’s needs, positioning patient appropriately for exam and providing patient education. Perform quality exams by operating applicable Imaging equipment competently including data acquisition, image manipulation and reconstruction, and quality control measures to ensure optimal quality diagnostic images and monitoring patient throughout the exam. Maintain accurate patient records by completing correct and timely entries in all electronic health systems (i.e. HIS/RIS, PHA, PACS) and department specific programs. Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work in a calm manner. Anticipates work to be done and seeks to assist others, maximizing productivity in both patient care and non-patient care departmental tasks. Stay current in the field by enhancing personal professional skills and knowledge through CEUs, self-study, research and dialogue, ensuring competency in all assigned exams and ability to easily float to assigned areas. Support the organization by performing other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

    RDMS - ARDMS registration in Abdomen or OB/GYN or ARDMS Registry eligible and completion within 6 months of hire RVT – ARDMS registration in Vascular or RVS – ARRT registration in vascular or completion of RVT/RVS within one year of hire Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter). Initial Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) within six months. Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RDMS and RVT – ARDMS Registration in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular and minimum two years experience.
Schedule
  • Varying Days/Shifts
    • Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • On-Call Requirements
    • Participate in weekday evening/night and weekend call coverage
    • Must be able to report within 45 minutes when on call
