Department: Diagnostic Imaging Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $40.65–$57.39. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities
Provides excellent and compassionate patient care; demonstrates leadership and serves as a role model for staff, using time and resources effectively, and demonstrates a positive attitude;
Orients, mentors and assures proper training and complete competency testing of new and existing employees to ensure high level of competency among team members. Collaborates with Hospital Radiology Supervisor when staff quality/performance does not meet standards
Responsible for safety and quality assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer’s recommendations, proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment, coordination of equipment repair and participation in recommendation of new equipment.
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for the position, and is the source of expertise for given modality or specialty area.
Identifies opportunities for and participates in process and quality improvement initiatives, and supports new technology and department/organizational initiatives
Provides input for staff hires and performance reviews, coordinates and directs staff work activities and optimizes staff productivity.
Ensures continuity of care and establishes standard of practice and patient care. Promote staff growth, development and employee engagement in a supportive learning environment
Meets all role expectations of the staff technologist in applicable specialty area
ARRT (R)(MR) – ARRT registration in Radiology and MRI or RT plus completed NH+C MRI Competency verification and minimum two years of experience.
Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter).
Initial Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) within six months.
Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.
Registration in given diagnostic or specialty area as noted above and a minimum of five years' experience
Schedule
- 80 hours per two-week pay period
- 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
- Primarily day shifts while participating in evening and weekend coverage as needed
