Adjunct Faculty - Natural Sciences (Evergreen) in Cambridge, Massachusetts at Lesley University

The Opportunity

Lesley University always welcomes applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach upcoming classes in our Natural Sciences programs at the undergraduate level. These programs include classes in Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Science, Health Sciences, and Physics. Courses include a range of foundational, general education, and major-level classes. Most classes are taught in-person, with occasional availability for remote courses. All courses with labs are taught on campus.

Lesley University hires Adjunct Faculty on a regular cadence to support our Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. By applying to an Evergreen position, your materials will remain on file and be reviewed on an as-needed basis throughout the upcoming semesters. As such, you will be put into consideration for current and future adjunct positions within the Natural Sciences subject areas. The specific course hired for is subject to change depending on semester, course catalog, and department needs.

Qualities & Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

• A Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Health Science, Physics or closely related field (required); PhD or terminal degree (preferred)

• Successful experience teaching in the particular discipline at the undergraduate level

• Prior research or lab-based experience is required for science courses with labs

• Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning with an emphasis on student engagement
