Warranty Processor Specialist in Thousand Oaks, California at Rawlings Sporting Goods Company Inc

General Overview: Under general direction from the Warranty Manager, and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, the role is responsible for ensuring all returns are processed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for incoming product returns that are submitted for warranty claims.
• Disposition return authorization
• Verify all required documents are included with the product
• Verify product within warranty
• Verify product has warrantable defect
• Match product to receipt and to return authorization
• Process return authorization in system
• Record product data
• Record shipping data
• Report issues with return authorization
• Record product data in database
• Responsible for the cardboard recycling/bundling machine operations
• Responsible for product destruction
• Goal is to process all returns within 24 hours
• Assist in other facility departments as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required: Duties require a high school diploma or equivalent with some experience in warranty or customer service.

• Knowledge of baseball equipment is preferred.
• Experience with software programs (Microsoft Office and JDE)
• Must be detail orientated with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to effectively manage time in order to handle large peaks in work volume.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions: Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards. Minimal physical effort required; standing or seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis. Travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
