CHMC – Food Service Worker– Full Time- Day Shift –6:30a-6:30p (8-hour shifts during this time frame)- Requisition 8035

Pay Range: $16.75-$20.46*

A Food Service Worker performs general functions related to food service, production, sanitation, and customer service. Responsibilities include: preparing food items and trays, collecting dirty dishes to return to kitchen, washing and cleaning work areas, hot and cold stations, and tables, collecting garbage and placing in designated containers, assembling and serving food items to hospital staff in cafeteria, and processing and collecting payment for food items. Responsibilities may further specialize into a cafeteria worker, caterer, clerk, cook or diet assistant

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities. Ability to handle situations in a manner which results in minimum disruption. Ability to recognize age-specific needs of patients and customers and adapts services accordingly. Ability to maintain various food service logs. Ability to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Prior experience in food service preferred.
