We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support the design, administration, and optimization of enterprise technology environments.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring reliable infrastructure operations across complex healthcare technology ecosystems.
You will manage and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, cloud environments, identity platforms, and enterprise applications.
The position combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic problem-solving, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and supporting enterprise infrastructure while providing technical leadership across critical platforms. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, collaboration, and the ability to drive reliable technology solutions.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems across server and desktop environments.
- Manage and optimize core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SQL, IIS, and CIFS.
- Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement upgrades to maintain availability and scalability.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for key platforms including Windows engineering, Citrix infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, and enterprise desktop solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to engineering teams while promoting best practices.
- Lead or contribute to complex infrastructure projects, solution design efforts, and technology improvement initiatives.
- Develop technical specifications, roadmaps, and integration strategies for evolving enterprise systems.
- Automate repetitive processes using scripting tools such as PowerShell and VBScript to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Implement process improvements, documentation standards, and operational procedures to strengthen IT service delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotations and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Support remote and on-site technology deployments, including software installations and go-live activities when required.
The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure professional with strong systems administration expertise, cloud knowledge, and the ability to manage complex technical environments. Success in this role requires analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- 3+ years of experience implementing and administering infrastructure services, with 5+ years preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Azure experience required, with additional experience preferred.
- 4+ years of AWS cloud-hosting experience preferred.
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SQL, IIS, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and XenServer preferred.
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds Orion is a plus.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, VBScript, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to internal teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities effectively.
- Willingness to complete required vendor or platform certifications within established timelines when applicable.
- Competitive salary range of $98,552 - $157,683 annually.
