The Engineering Manager will lead the technical strategy, engineering execution, and development of technology teams, ensuring the product evolves with scalability, reliability, and business value. This role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational excellence, and strong leadership capabilities.

• Define and evolve the product’s technology vision, architecture strategy, modernization roadmap, and technical priorities aligned with business goals.
• Make strategic technical decisions regarding architecture, technology adoption, build vs. buy evaluations, and AI-powered productivity improvements.
• Establish and monitor technology KPIs and OKRs, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
• Lead software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, release processes, and quality standards.
• Partner with product leadership to build realistic roadmaps, estimate initiatives, and ensure efficient delivery.
• Improve engineering productivity through modern development practices, automation, and effective use of AI tools.
• Coordinate technical dependencies across product teams, reducing bottlenecks and improving delivery flow.
• Ensure product performance, availability, scalability, and reliability through monitoring, incident management, and continuous optimization.
• Lead technical teams and develop engineering leaders, fostering autonomy, accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
• Manage technology investments, tools, and resources while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading engineering teams, designing scalable systems, and managing technology evolution in complex SaaS environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• 8+ years of experience in technology, with a strong background in software development and system architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in senior technical leadership roles such as Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in B2B SaaS companies, delivering digital products in high-growth environments.
• Experience managing technology teams of 15+ people, including multiple squads and technical leadership development.
• Strong knowledge of scalable software architecture, modern engineering practices, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and application performance management.
• Experience working with legacy systems, technical debt, and incremental modernization strategies.
• Ability to make strategic technical decisions and communicate complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong results orientation, prioritization skills, and ability to operate in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent collaboration skills with product, design, and business teams.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience with React, Angular, Java, or Kotlin.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
• Background in legal technology or SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of incremental architecture migration strategies, such as modularization or strangler patterns.
• Experience with observability and APM tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or Grafana.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or automated code review solutions.
