Position Summary

The Associate Construction & Community Relations Specialist supports public outreach and communication activities associated with electric utility construction and infrastructure projects. This position provides administrative, logistical, and project coordination support to the engagement teams to ensure effective communication, organized project documentation, and successful execution of community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of public engagement and communication plans supporting utility construction projects.
• Coordinate logistics for public meetings, open houses, and community outreach events, including preparing materials, ordering supplies, arranging refreshments, and assisting with event setup and breakdown.
• Organize, prepare, print, and distribute project communications, informational materials, and meeting documents.
• Maintain and update project files, communication records, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Provide administrative and organizational support to Stakeholder Engagement Specialists and Managers.
• Assist with coordinating outreach activities and ensuring required materials and resources are available for scheduled events.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education in communications, business administration, public relations, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in administrative support, customer service, event coordination, or communications preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic file management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following established procedures.

Working Conditions

• Position may require travel to project locations, public meetings, and community outreach events.
• Occasional evening or after-hours availability may be required.
• Responsibilities may include transporting, organizing, setting up, and packing event materials.
• Reporting location to be determined based on project and operational needs.
