Hours: Full-time, 12-hour shifts
Shift Pattern: 3 Days, 3 Nights, 3 Off

Payrate: £14.16 per hour

Location: Didcot
Day Shift: 06:00–18:00
Night Shift: 18:00–06:00
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent

We are recruiting for a Mobile Response Officer to join our established security team at Harwell Science Campus in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

This position is initially offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent role.

The campus is home to a community of experts working across areas including energy, space, health and quantum computing, creating a unique environment with science, technology and research at its heart.

As a Mobile Response Officer, you will provide a professional and highly visible security presence across the campus. You will respond to incidents and alarm activations, carry out mobile patrols and scheduled security tasks, and regularly engage with clients and other teams across the site.

You will work alongside our wider security team and will be provided with full training, uniform, a mobile phone and access to a Mobile Response vehicle whilst on duty.

• Completing scheduled internal and external mobile patrols
• Carrying out scheduled building lock and unlock duties
• Responding to intruder, CCTV and fire alarm activations
• Ensuring alarm activations are dealt with through to completion
• Completing accurate reports following patrols, incidents and activations
• Ensuring service partner apps, portals and reporting systems are completed correctly
• Responding to ad hoc requests from clients and service partners
• Providing professional support to our client
• Maintaining a professional and approachable security presence across the campus

• Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Hold a full manual UK driving licence
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be confident engaging with clients and other stakeholders
• Have a passion for delivering excellent service
• Be reliable, punctual and professional
• Be flexible and comfortable working both day and night shifts
• Be able to work effectively as part of a wider security team

You will work a 3 Days, 3 Nights, 3 Off rota consisting of 12-hour shifts:

• Day shifts: 06:00–18:00
• Night shifts: 18:00–06:00

There are also opportunities for additional hours through overtime and covering annual leave or sickness across other Knight Protection sites.
