WHO WE ARE

Started in 1987 by a young entrepreneur with a single truck and trailer, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become the largest commercial livestock carrier in North America – and a leader in the transportation industry.

THE ROLE

Steve's Livestock Transport is seeking an experienced leader to join team our Red Deer, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our team of technicians in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Lead the technicians by setting clear expectations, providing direction and guidance, and ensuring that all team members are trained to complete maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard.
  • Communicate effectively with our customers, ensuring that all work is completed to their satisfaction and that they are kept up to date on progress.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions to optimize work processes and efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are well maintained and in good working condition.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure we offer the highest level of customer service and support.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • CVIP qualified
  • 3-5 years experience in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor performance and deliver results with a team
  • Understanding of financial reporting
  • Strong decision-making, communication and organizational skills
