About the Role:

The Front Office Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and guest services within the organization. This position is responsible for leading and managing the front office team to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain high standards of professionalism, and uphold the company’s reputation. The supervisor will oversee daily front office activities, including guest check-in and check-out processes, reservations, and handling guest inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively. They will also collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination, contributing to an outstanding overall guest experience. Ultimately, the Front Office Supervisor is instrumental in fostering a welcoming environment that supports both guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front office team to ensure efficient and courteous service delivery.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate front office staff to promote professional development and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, room availability, and guest accounts using property management systems.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest requests and needs are met.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports on front office operations, including occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.
  • Implement and enforce front office policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a front office or guest services role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead position.
  • Strong knowledge of front office operations and property management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proficiency in additional languages beyond English and French.
  • Certification in customer service or hospitality management.
  • Familiarity with Canadian hospitality regulations and standards.
