This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AWS Solutions Architect based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments that support critical business applications.
You will take ownership of cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, security, and operational excellence across enterprise AWS platforms.
The position combines hands-on engineering with strategic architecture leadership, working across application, security, and reliability teams.
You will help shape cloud adoption through modern DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
The ideal candidate is passionate about building resilient cloud solutions, solving complex technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement.
This is a remote opportunity for an experienced cloud professional who thrives in collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced environments.

Accountabilities:

The AWS Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise cloud platforms while ensuring security, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong technical ownership, architectural expertise, and the ability to partner with engineering teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.

  • Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise AWS environments across compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed services.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK with strong version control and automated validation practices.
  • Build and manage AWS multi-account environments, including landing zones, centralized logging, shared services, and governance controls.
  • Design secure networking architectures including VPCs, subnetting, routing, transit gateways, VPNs, and Direct Connect integrations.
  • Implement enterprise IAM strategies using roles, permission boundaries, AWS SSO, security policies, and least-privilege access models.
  • Design, deploy, and operate container platforms including Amazon EKS and ECS with appropriate scaling, monitoring, and security practices.
  • Manage AWS data and analytics services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Glue, and Kinesis based on workload requirements.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Implement cloud observability solutions using CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and related monitoring platforms.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives through right-sizing, lifecycle management, savings strategies, and architectural improvements.
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity solutions including backups, replication, failover testing, and operational documentation.
  • Strengthen cloud security posture using AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, Inspector, Config, and CloudTrail.
  • Provide architecture guidance to development teams on AWS best practices, design patterns, and service selection.
  • Build automation tools and scripts using Python, Bash, or Go to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to cloud engineering best practices across the organization.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will bring extensive cloud engineering experience, strong AWS expertise, and a deep understanding of modern infrastructure practices. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical skills, architectural thinking, security awareness, and strong communication abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, including at least three years working with AWS production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
  • Proven experience designing and managing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience operating Amazon EKS or ECS clusters in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash, with familiarity with Go or PowerShell considered a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, key management, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience implementing cloud monitoring, observability, alerting, and reliability practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with application engineers, security teams, and reliability teams.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, centralized governance, service mesh technologies, zero-trust networking, and FinOps practices is a plus.
  • Exposure to regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP is beneficial.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $100,000–$150,000, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Fully remote work environment across the United States.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale cloud architecture and modernization initiatives.
  • Career growth opportunities within a technology-focused environment.
  • Exposure to advanced AWS services, DevOps practices, automation, and cloud security solutions.
  • Collaborative culture with opportunities to mentor and learn from experienced engineers.
  • Professional development opportunities and support for industry certifications.
  • Work on impactful projects involving cloud transformation, scalability, and operational excellence.
