Senior Marketing Platform Administrator- Salesforce

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Marketing Platform Administrator- Salesforce based in United States.

This role serves as the in-house technical expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, combining platform administration with strategic marketing technology enablement.
You’ll own platform configuration, governance, integrations, data pipelines, and continuous improvement initiatives that support large-scale audience engagement.
The position bridges technical and business teams, translating stakeholder requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.
You’ll work closely with development, IT, security, and marketing teams in an agile environment where your expertise helps shape the platform roadmap.
The role offers hands-on ownership of complex integrations involving CRM, data warehouse, web, and marketing systems.
You’ll also contribute to platform security, documentation, release management, and operational best practices.
This is a remote U.S. opportunity with occasional travel for in-person team gatherings.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, overseeing configuration, maintenance, governance, and ongoing optimization.

  • Build and enhance platform capabilities, including contact suppression automations, unsubscribe workflows, data lookup tools, and audience segmentation functionality.

  • Manage integrations between the marketing platform and connected systems, including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Form.io, and Snowflake.

  • Configure and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines that support audience creation, segmentation, and marketing operations.

  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions and translate business needs into scalable, sustainable, and best-practice platform solutions.

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate marketing technology with websites and support the development of a customized preference center.

  • Configure and maintain data export processes supporting reporting, analytics, and data backup requirements.

  • Monitor platform releases, security reviews, system health checks, and emerging capabilities to identify opportunities and required adjustments.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and communicate platform changes effectively to trainers, end users, and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to platform roadmap planning and agile ceremonies, including standups, backlog grooming, project kickoffs, and retrospectives.

  • Coordinate SSO configuration, role management, permissions, and related platform requirements with IT Operations and Security.

  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining platform reliability, data quality, security, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement or a comparable enterprise marketing platform.

  • 2+ years of experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud or another CRM platform.

  • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, data normalization, and segmentation queries.

  • Familiarity with Server-Side JavaScript and CloudPages, including their use in connecting REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing practical, durable technical solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities within an agile sprint framework.

  • Active involvement in an evangelical Christian church.

  • Ability to travel to the Middle Tennessee area approximately 2–4 times per year for team gatherings.

  • Experience with AMPscript for dynamic content and personalization is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse platforms is preferred.

  • Experience configuring single sign-on integrations and managing platform roles and permissions is a plus.
