Current 2nd Shift Openings

All 2nd shift positions receive a 10% shift premium.

• CNC Setup Machinist (4:00 PM - 4:00 AM)
• Saw Operator (4:00 PM - 3:00 AM)
• Maintenance / Furnace Technician (1:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
• Maintenance / Machine Repair Technician (3:00 PM - 2:00 AM)
• Building Maintenance (7:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• Forge Utility Worker (7:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• Heat Treat Operator (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, 4 days on / 4 days off)
• Quality Control / Non-Destructive Testing Technician (2:00 PM - 2:00 AM)

What You'll Do

Depending on the role, you will:

• Operate heavy industrial equipment such as CNC machines, saws, furnaces, presses, and related production equipment.
• Safely move materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform equipment setup, operation, inspection, maintenance, or quality verification activities.
• Read and interpret work instructions, specifications, blueprints, or production requirements.
• Support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while meeting quality standards.
• Participate in and promote a strong safety culture.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
• Machine setup and operation experience.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Crane rigging and operation experience.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to pass a lift assessment of up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to work around heavy industrial equipment and moving machinery.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and material handling.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include heat, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment hair follicle drug screen and background check.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated pay range for each position is based on what Scot Forge reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, shift assignment, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs.
