The Mold Technician supports injection molding operations by performing mold changes, machine setups, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Hands-on experience with KraussMaffei and Demag injection molding machines and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity are necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed
- Perform mold installations, removals, and changeovers safely and efficiently.
- Set up and start injection molding machines, ensuring proper operation and production readiness.
- Troubleshoot molding processes, machine issues, and mold-related problems.
- Adjust machine parameters to optimize cycle times, quality, and production output.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on molds, tooling, and auxiliary equipment.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Verify first-piece quality and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate setup and production documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Other tasks, duties and functions as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of mold technician, mold setup, or injection molding experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with KraussMaffei and Demag injection molding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, setup sheets, and technical documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines.
