Description:

Dental Associates of Delaware (DAD) is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Practice Support Office and support our employees and dental practices across Delaware. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, solving problems, and helping create a positive employee experience.

In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day HR support across DAD, including payroll support, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee records, and employee engagement. You’ll work closely with employees, practice leadership, HR vendors, and the DAD Practice Support Office to provide responsive support and help keep our HR processes organized, consistent, and running smoothly.

Job Description
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and practice leadership across DAD.
  • Coordinate payroll support, including timekeeping, employee changes, deductions, and communication with payroll vendors.
  • Support benefits administration and assist employees with routine benefits, enrollment, and eligibility questions.
  • Coordinate with HR and benefits vendors and follow up on outstanding questions or issues.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding, including job postings, applicant communication, phone screenings, pre-employment requirements, and new hire documentation.
  • Process employment verifications, wage garnishments, and other routine employment-related requests.
  • Support Department of Labor communications, unemployment claims, and routine HR compliance requirements.
  • Help maintain and communicate updates to the DAD Employee Handbook, HR policies, procedures, forms, and resources.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, reports, and documentation while protecting confidential information.
  • Support employee recognition, appreciation, engagement, and internal culture initiatives.
  • Assist with HR projects and identify opportunities to improve processes and employee support across DAD.
  • Recognize when employee matters require additional guidance and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive concerns.
Requirements: Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of human resources experience.
  • Experience with payroll support, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, and employment compliance.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate an issue.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, or a multi-location organization preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other HR technology.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, practice leaders, vendors, and the Practice Support Office.
  • Ability to travel between DAD locations as needed.
Work Environment

This position is based within the DAD Practice Support Office and regularly interacts with employees and practice leadership across our dental practices. The role includes computer and telephone work, collaboration with team members throughout DAD, and occasional travel between locations.
