This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Gerente de Operações - Banco de Dados based in Brazil.

This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on the operational management of database and application infrastructure in mission-critical, high-availability environments.
You will lead technical support teams, ensuring stability, continuity, and quality across critical technology services.
The role combines people leadership, infrastructure governance, project management, and hands-on technical oversight.
You will work across databases, applications, monitoring, SIEM, version control, and infrastructure operations.
Your expertise will be essential in coordinating complex initiatives, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining reliable technology environments.
The position also offers exposure to major enterprise technologies and collaboration with technology vendors and specialized teams.
It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced technology leader who combines operational discipline, technical knowledge, and strong team management skills.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and oversee technical support teams and projects related to ICT infrastructure, with a focus on databases and applications.
  • Provide technical and operational leadership to teams responsible for sustaining mission-critical, high-availability environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure services and operational performance, ensuring continuity, reliability, and timely response to issues.
  • Conduct queries and investigations using SIEM platforms such as Splunk SPL, Microsoft Sentinel KQL, Elastic Search EQL, or equivalent technologies.
  • Lead technology projects, including requirements analysis, planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Oversee system projects and activities involving database and application infrastructure.
  • Manage infrastructure and code versioning through Git, including command-line operations, commits, pulls, and pushes.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation in English and communicate with technology vendors through written technical support requests and follow-ups.
  • Organize, monitor, and govern the team's operational activities, ensuring priorities, processes, and deliverables remain aligned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology or another higher-education field combined with a postgraduate qualification in IT.
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or higher certification, or equivalent documented training.
  • Professional experience in Information Technology, preferably in large-scale and high-availability environments.
  • Proven experience managing technical support teams or infrastructure ICT projects in large organizations.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, IBM DB2, WebSphere, IBM MQ, or Java EE.
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, technology project management, requirements analysis, and Git.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Service as a repository.
  • Technical English proficiency sufficient to read IT documentation and communicate in writing with technology vendors.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, problem-solving, and operational governance skills.
  • As a differentiator, official certifications in database or application technologies combined with senior-level experience supporting those technologies.
  • Practical, established experience using Azure DevOps as the primary repository in technical management activities is also desirable.
