About the FacilityIsuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.
This 1-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art production plant, located on more than 200 acres, will feature a flexible manufacturing line capable of producing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

The Port Installed Option (PIO) Installer is responsible for installing factory-authorized accessories and Port Installed Options (PIOs) on new Isuzu commercial vehicles prior to final delivery. This position performs installations in accordance with engineering work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements while supporting production schedules and delivering defect-free workmanship. The PIO Installer contributes to vehicle readiness by ensuring all installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Installs factory-authorized Port Installed Options (PIOs), accessories, and customer-specified equipment on new Isuzu commercial vehicles in accordance with approved engineering work instructions, installation procedures, and quality standards.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, work instructions, installation diagrams, and technical documentation to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
- Inspects completed installations to verify proper fit, finish, functionality, and compliance with Isuzu quality requirements.
- Safely operates hand tools, power tools, torque tools, lifting equipment, and specialty installation equipment while protecting vehicle surfaces from damage.
- Troubleshoots basic installation concerns and promptly reports damaged, missing, or incorrect parts, quality concerns, and process issues to supervision for timely resolution.
- Completes electronic quality inspections, installation documentation, and production records accurately and timely.
- Meets daily production schedules while maintaining Isuzu quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S principles, standard work practices, and housekeeping requirements.
- Assists with inventory organization, material handling, and staging of installation parts and materials to support daily production activities.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Follows all company policies, safety procedures, and PPE requirements while performing assigned duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years automotive, medium/heavy truck, manufacturing, assembly, or related mechanical experience preferred; equivalent mechanical aptitude may be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, installation procedures, and technical documentation.
- Basic computer or tablet skills for electronic work instructions and quality documentation.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform precision installations.
- Experience using automotive hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic installation issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Basic computer proficiency for completing electronic inspections and production documentation.
