Position Summary

The Resident Care Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Assisted Living care team by managing caregiver and medication technician schedules and ensuring consistent, high-quality care for our residents.

This role partners closely with the Director of Health & Wellness to maintain proper staffing levels, support team communication, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Staffing

  • Create and manage schedules for caregivers and medication technicians
  • Ensure staffing levels meet resident care needs and census requirements
  • Handle call-outs, shift coverage, and last-minute staffing adjustments
  • Monitor overtime and support efficient scheduling practices

Team Support & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for care staff scheduling needs
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes clearly and timely
  • Support onboarding schedules and training shifts for new hires
  • Track attendance trends and escalate concerns to leadership

Resident Care Coordination

  • Partner with the Director of Health & Wellness to align staffing with resident care plans
  • Support communication between shifts to ensure continuity of care
  • Assist with coordination of care needs as required

Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure schedules meet regulatory and community staffing requirements
  • Maintain accurate staffing and attendance records
  • Support audits and documentation requests as needed
Requirements: Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in senior living, healthcare, caregiving or staffing coordination
  • Experience scheduling caregivers or clinical staff preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
