IV Preparation Nurse (RN) in Clearwater, Florida at LifeWorks Wellness Center

Overview:
LifeWorks Wellness Center is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable IV Preparation Nurse to prepare patient IV bags accurately and on time. In this role, you will maintain a sterile, safe mixing environment and ensure every IV bag is prepared exactly per protocol so that patients receive their treatments without delay. This role requires an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mix and prepare each patient's IV bag exactly per standard protocol and on schedule.
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and hygienic bag-mixing environment at all times.
• Clarify any unclear orders before preparing an IV bag, escalating to management as needed.
• Maintain adequate stock levels and correctly rotate supplies to avoid expiration.
• Receive, unpack, and store incoming IV room supplies, including proper refrigerated storage.
• Alert the Office Manager or supervisor in writing of any situation affecting patient treatment or IV room operations.
• Immediately escalate any patient emergency to the doctor and clinic director.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida required.
• At least 2 years of previous medical experience.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience in alternative health medicine is a plus.
• Superior communication and patient service skills.
• High attention to detail and strict adherence to protocol.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check & drug screen.

Education & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Florida.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent, required.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• A genuine passion for helping people.

Language Skills:
Must speak English. Must have excellent interactive communication skills.

Physical Demands of Position:
While performing the duties of this job, must be able to stand for periods of up to 8 hours at a time while mixing IV bags.

Work Environment:
Shared work environment.

Hours:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, in the office.
