Independent Talent Acquisition Partner (3-Month Engagement)

Washington, DC Public Sector Recruiting Specialist

Position Overview

Impact Genome seeks an experienced independent recruiter for a three-month contract to recruit and help hire approximately 8-10 mid- to senior-level professionals for our growing public-sector consulting and government sales practice.

The ideal recruiter has an established network throughout the Washington, DC GovCon and GovTech community and a demonstrated history of successfully placing senior sales, consulting, and leadership professionals.

Qualifications

  • Extensive network throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area
  • Proven success placing candidates within:
  • Government Sales
  • Federal Account Management
  • State & Local Government Sales
  • Management Consulting
  • GovTech
  • Public Sector Technology
  • Strong LinkedIn Recruiter sourcing experience
  • Experience recruiting passive candidates
  • Exceptional interviewing and candidate assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Build the Talent Pipeline

Objectives

  • Meet with company leadership to understand culture, strategy, and hiring priorities.
  • Finalize recruiting strategy for each position.
  • Optimize LinkedIn Recruiter searches and outreach.
  • Identify target companies and candidate profiles.
  • Begin direct outreach to passive candidates.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings.
  • Present the first slate of qualified candidates.
  • Continue sourcing additional candidates.
  • Manage interview scheduling.
  • Conduct in-depth candidate assessments.
  • Present highly qualified finalists.
  • Maintain candidate engagement throughout the interview process.
  • Advise hiring managers on market conditions and compensation.

Deliverables

  • Consistent pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Interview coordination
  • Candidate evaluations
  • Weekly status reports
  • Offer recommendations

Hiring & Transition

Objectives

  • Support final interviews and selection decisions.
  • Assist with offer negotiations.
  • Help close accepted candidates.
  • Continue filling remaining open positions.
  • Document recruiting process for future hiring.

  • Remaining active candidate pipeline
  • Recruiting metrics summary
  • Transition documentation
  • Recommendations for future recruiting

Preference will be given to recruiters who have personally filled Director-level government sales, federal account executive, and public-sector consulting positions within the Washington, DC market and can demonstrate recent placement success.
