Senior Technical Support Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Support Specialist based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to support enterprise customers by solving complex technical and business challenges within a fast-growing financial technology environment.
You will act as a trusted advisor for customers using ERP integrations, payment solutions, and financial workflows.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Implementation teams, you will help deliver seamless experiences and drive continuous improvements.
The position combines technical troubleshooting, accounting expertise, and customer relationship management.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Technical Support Specialist, you will provide advanced technical and functional support for customers using ERP integrations and financial technology solutions. You will investigate complex issues, deliver effective resolutions, and collaborate across teams to improve customer outcomes and support platform reliability.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for ERP integrations, payment processing workflows, and accounting-related issues.
  • Assist customers using enterprise ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations, Acumatica, SAP Business One, and other solutions.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and provide customer-focused solutions while maintaining high service quality.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to escalate issues, identify root causes, and improve customer experiences.
  • Manage support cases effectively, ensuring accurate documentation, timely responses, and successful resolution.
  • Monitor and improve key support metrics, including customer satisfaction, SLA compliance, response times, resolution times, and case quality.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles, internal documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support customers with ERP workflows, integrations, automation, reporting, and data synchronization challenges.
  • Assist with troubleshooting APIs, middleware solutions, and financial technology integrations when required.
  • Share expertise with teammates and contribute as a subject matter expert within the support organization.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced ERP and technical support professional with strong accounting knowledge, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a customer-first mindset. You should be comfortable managing complex issues, collaborating with technical teams, and supporting customers in a fast-paced environment.

  • 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems in a functional, consulting, implementation, or technical support capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise ERP platforms, including NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations, Acumatica, SAP Business One, or similar solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP business processes, including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex ERP issues and translate technical challenges into business solutions.
  • Experience supporting customers in a technical support, customer care, or enterprise software environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using support platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, Jira, or similar ticketing systems.
  • ERP certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with payment integrations, APIs, middleware, or FinTech solutions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, integration troubleshooting, or data synchronization concepts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP customization frameworks such as SuiteScript, Power Platform, Business Central extensions, or Sage customization tools is beneficial.
  • Experience mentoring teammates or acting as a subject matter expert is an advantage.
