Director, International Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, International Marketing based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead global market expansion strategies and shape growth across multiple international regions.
You will own go-to-market initiatives, market entry strategies, and localized marketing programs that drive commercial success.
The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring strong collaboration across marketing, sales, partnerships, and operations teams.
You will build scalable frameworks, teams, and playbooks that support expansion into new markets.

Accountabilities
  • Own the international go-to-market strategy and growth roadmap across key regions, including market entry, expansion planning, localization, and long-term scaling initiatives.
  • Define market priorities, investment strategies, and expansion plans while presenting recommendations and insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and execution of localized marketing programs, ensuring alignment between global strategy and regional market needs.
  • Build, manage, and develop regional marketing teams, external partners, and agencies to support demand generation, events, partnerships, and market activation.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Communications, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to create cohesive regional strategies.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights initiatives to identify opportunities, challenges, regulatory considerations, and buyer behaviors.
  • Establish strategic partnerships, including channel, technology, and regional partnerships, to accelerate market presence and pipeline growth.
  • Adapt messaging, positioning, and marketing materials to reflect local customer needs, cultural differences, languages, and competitive landscapes.
  • Develop reporting frameworks and success metrics to measure market maturity, pipeline contribution, ROI, and commercial performance.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation across multiple markets to maximize growth impact.
  • Create repeatable market expansion playbooks, processes, and frameworks that can support future geographic growth.
  • Represent international marketing strategy in leadership discussions, executive reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Drive experimentation and data-informed decision-making by testing new approaches, optimizing campaigns, and identifying opportunities to scale.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant experience leading international, regional, or new market expansion initiatives.
  • Proven track record of developing and scaling go-to-market strategies across international markets such as LATAM, Europe, the UK, Canada, or comparable regions.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams, direct reports, agencies, or cross-functional teams in complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate marketing strategies into measurable business outcomes, including pipeline growth, revenue impact, and market adoption.
  • Strong experience partnering with senior Sales, Marketing, and executive leaders to align growth strategies with business objectives.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and prioritizing resources across multiple regions.
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with confidence presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments while building processes and strategies from the ground up.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and insights to guide investment decisions and market priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally on a quarterly basis or as needed to support market execution and relationship building.
  • Preferred experience includes launching or scaling businesses internationally, account-based marketing, enterprise SaaS or technology environments, logistics or industrial sectors, management consulting, corporate strategy, or international expansion functions.
  • Fluency or professional working proficiency in Spanish alongside English is a plus.
