Construction Project Manager

CleanSpace Modular LLC

Location: Fort Washington, PA

Office-Based with Project Site Visits · Approximately 20% Travel


Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project scope and quality standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong construction project management experience with a proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain client relationships. Experience in pharmaceutical construction and regulated facility environments is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction through project closeout

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations

  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders

  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules, resources, and execution strategies as needed

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, building codes, and project quality standards

  • Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

  • Conduct regular project site visits to oversee construction activities, monitor progress, and resolve issues

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders

  • Track project costs and manage financial reporting, including billing, forecasting, and budget performance

  • Maintain organized and accurate project documentation and records

  • Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication among internal teams, subcontractors, and clients

  • Collaborate with pre-construction, engineering, estimating, and field teams to support project execution

  • Identify and address project risks, schedule impacts, and scope-related issues to maintain project objectives

  • Support successful project delivery through effective coordination, problem-solving, and project closeout

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management

  • Pharmaceutical construction experience required

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams on multi-phase construction projects

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable building codes

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in construction management and project scheduling software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or Primavera

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong understanding of project documentation, cost tracking, and construction coordination

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

  • PMP or CCM certification a plus

Preferred Experience
  • Experience managing pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or other regulated facility construction projects

  • Experience with cleanroom, modular, or specialized facility construction

  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and project requirements

  • Experience coordinating architectural, engineering, MEP, and construction disciplines

  • Proven experience managing subcontractor relationships, procurement, and project delivery

  • Experience with project forecasting, billing, change orders, and financial reporting

  • Familiarity with construction safety requirements, inspections, and quality control processes

  • Construction activities meet applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

  • Project meetings, documentation, and follow-up activities support efficient project execution

  • Successful coordination between pre-construction, engineering, estimating, and field teams

  • Projects progress through completion and closeout with organized records and outstanding items resolved

Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based with regular project site visits and approximately 20% travel

  • May require extended hours, travel, or occasional weekend work depending on project demands

  • Must be able to navigate active construction sites and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring collaboration across project management, engineering, and field teams
