Sensitive Activities CI Support Specialist in MacDill AFB, Florida at Cogent Security LLC

The Sensitive Activities CI Support Specialist provides direct Counterintelligence (CI) staff support to the Counterintelligence Coordinating Authority. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation, integration, and execution of all aspects of CI collection, production, and joint CI operations management, with a specific focus on Special Operations Forces (SOF) enterprise Sensitive Activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct CI staff support to the counterintelligence coordinating authority to assist in executing CI collection, CI production, and joint CI operations management.
• Integrate and deconflict joint CI activities with the Joint Staff and Combatant Commands (COCOMs), emphasizing SOF enterprise Sensitive Activities.
• Support worldwide CI operations focused on exposing and countering foreign intelligence services (FIS) and terrorist threats.
• Provide specialized CI support to the command’s Sensitive Activities staff and subordinate elements.
• Identify foreign counterintelligence and security modus operandi and threats directed against DoD HUMINT and sensitive activities.
• Evaluate the operational capabilities and effectiveness of Foreign Intelligence Services.
• Assist in conducting risk-versus-gains analyses and comprehensive assessments of CI operations.
• Advise command personnel on FIS capabilities based on operational CI insights, specialized research, personal experience, and collaboration with intelligence analysts.
• Maintain an electronic resource and living continuity book (including POCs and accesses) to ensure uninterrupted mission support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Training: Graduate of a Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Counterintelligence/Law Enforcement Badge & Credentialing School.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of counterintelligence experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working with DoD CI support to Defense Agencies, Combatant Commands, or SOF components/units (e.g., TSOCs or JSOC).
• Technical Skills & Expertise:
  • Proficient in Intelligence Community (IC) analytical methodologies, standards, and software tools.
  • Working knowledge of the full range of concepts, principles, practices, laws, methods, and techniques pertaining to DoD CI investigations and operations.
• Clearance & Screening:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Current Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph administered within the last 3 years.
• Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated individual and team traits for successful integration into a dynamic work environment.

Work Schedule & Travel Expectations

• Hours: Standard workweek is 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday) covering core operational hours (0900–1500). Operational requirements may occasionally require flexible or extended hours.
• Travel: Ability to support CONUS and OCONUS TDY (temporary duty) travel as required by mission parameters.
