This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Temporary Senior Strategy Editor, Consumer Revenue based in the United States.

This role offers an opportunity to shape the content strategy of a large-scale digital commerce publication. You will guide planning across 10 editorial categories, using search trends, audience behavior, performance data, and revenue insights to identify growth opportunities. The position combines editorial expertise with SEO, AEO/GEO, paid media, and data-driven content optimization. You will collaborate closely with editorial, data, brand solutions, and paid media teams in a fast-moving environment. Your recommendations will help keep content competitive, timely, and aligned with consumer demand. The role is temporary and scheduled through March 2027.

Accountabilities:

As a Temporary Senior Strategy Editor, you will lead content planning and optimization across core commerce categories while translating audience and performance signals into actionable editorial strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead monthly content planning across 10 editorial sections, identifying coverage opportunities and developing briefs based on search demand, emerging trends, seasonality, and business priorities.
  • Monitor category-level traffic, rankings, and revenue performance and provide weekly recommendations for content updates and optimization.
  • Track changes in search and content discovery, including traditional SEO, AI Overviews, and LLM citations, and identify opportunities across SEO, AEO, and GEO.
  • Use Google Trends, news cycles, and consumer interest signals to identify timely opportunities and determine when to refresh high-impact evergreen content.
  • Support paid media content strategy by managing and updating Amazon storefronts in partnership with the paid social team.
  • Assist with new paid search campaigns and regularly audit SEM content to ensure product recommendations and promotional information remain accurate and current.
  • Contribute to seasonal and tentpole planning by identifying evergreen optimization opportunities and developing promotional language strategies for major shopping events, sales periods, and holidays.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong commerce editorial experience with a data-driven approach to content strategy and a solid understanding of evolving search behavior. You should be comfortable working across teams, interpreting performance data, and balancing long-term planning with fast-moving opportunities. Key qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in commerce editorial, content strategy, digital publishing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of commerce content strategy, SEO best practices, audience performance metrics, traffic growth, and affiliate revenue.
  • Knowledge of evolving search and content discovery, including AEO/GEO, AI Overviews, and LLM visibility.
  • Experience using tools such as Google Trends, Looker, Semrush, and Ahrefs to analyze performance and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Ability to balance strategic, long-term planning with timely content opportunities in a fast-paced commerce environment.

Benefits:

  • Hourly compensation of $45.00–$55.00.
