As a Water Mitigation Crew Chief, you'll take the lead on restoration job sites, guide crew members, and help homeowners and businesses recover from unexpected water and property damage.

As a Water Mitigation Crew Chief, you'll lead restoration crews on residential and commercial job sites impacted by water, sewage, and other property damage. You'll take ownership of the job site, keep projects moving safely and efficiently, and provide an exceptional experience for customers during what can be a stressful time.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise assigned crew members on restoration job sites
- Assess water and sewage damage and determine appropriate mitigation steps
- Perform water extraction, mitigation, and structural drying
- Set up, monitor, and remove professional drying equipment
- Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized restoration equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe job sites
- Communicate project progress and expectations clearly with customers
- Provide professional and empathetic service to homeowners and businesses
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation using company and industry software
- Ensure work is completed according to company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites while following all safety and traffic requirements
- Assist with mold remediation projects following appropriate training
- Take ownership of assigned projects and help ensure work is completed efficiently and to Power Dry standards
We're looking for a dependable, hands-on leader who is comfortable taking ownership of a job site while working alongside the crew.
Previous restoration or mitigation experience is preferred, but we are also willing to consider candidates with strong hands-on experience in construction, demolition, skilled trades, home services, or a similar environment who demonstrate leadership ability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Previous restoration, mitigation, construction, skilled trades, or related hands-on experience preferred
- Previous crew lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lead and work alongside a field crew
- Ability to routinely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the workday
- Comfortable using or learning to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized restoration equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain professional and empathetic when working with customers during stressful situations
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment background check and drug screening
This is not a traditional Monday–Friday, 9-to-5 position.
Power Dry provides emergency restoration services, which means our customers may need us outside of normal business hours. Water Mitigation Crew Chiefs must be willing to:
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
- Respond to occasional after-hours emergency calls
- Work weekends as part of the rotation
- Work overtime and some holidays as needed
