Job Description

Company Overview:

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.

The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.

We are seeking a highly accomplished and mission-focused Site Supervisor to oversee and direct contracted maintenance operations supporting the F/A-18 variants assigned to JRB Fort Worth.

In this premier leadership role, you will serve as the primary on-site interface between our corporate office and the military squadron command. You are responsible for ensuring absolute operational compliance, enforcing rigorous safety metrics, managing a multi-disciplinary workforce of aircraft mechanics and support personnel, and executing the delivery of high-quality aircraft maintenance services on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Program Management & Contractor Oversight

  • Direct, lead, and evaluate an on-site team of senior technicians, inspectors, and logistics professionals across all squadron maintenance shops (Airframes, Egress, Ordnance, Avionics/Electricians, and Logs & Records).
  • Monitor, track, and optimize performance metrics, including aircraft mission capability (MC) rates, cost variances, labor hours, and contract delivery schedules.
  • Serve as the principal Point of Contact (POC) for the squadron's Maintenance Officer (MO), Maintenance Control, and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) representatives.

Operational Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Enforce absolute compliance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP / COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series), explosive safety standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Champion the site’s workplace safety culture, ensuring strict adherence to the Tool Control Program (TCP), Foreign Object Damage (FOD) mitigation, and OSHA protocols.
  • Partner with the Quality Assurance manager to oversee regular internal audits, technical instructions implementation, and corrective action implementations.

Personnel Leadership & Resource Allocation

  • Oversee site staffing actions, including recruitment coordination, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and time-card approvals.
  • Manage manpower scheduling and labor allocations to handle fluctuating flight line demands, shift rotations, and surge support requirements.
  • Foster a professional workplace environment, identifying professional growth paths and mentoring team leads.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of military or commercial tactical aviation maintenance experience, featuring at least four (4) years in a direct supervisory, Site Manager, or Maintenance Officer capacity.
  • Extensive operational familiarity with F/A-18 or comparable high-performance tactical jet aircraft platforms.
  • Expert-level mastery of NAMP (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series) policies, DCMA INST 8210 instructions, and military contract operating models.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access classified briefs and military networks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (equivalent senior military aviation maintenance leadership experience may be substituted).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps Master Chief (E-9), Senior Chief (E-8), or Maintenance Officer (CWO/LDO) background.
  • Formal certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily active across the aircraft hangar floor, maintenance shops, and flight line environments rather than behind a desk.
  • Ability to withstand outdoor flight line conditions subjected to high noise levels and extreme North Texas seasonal weather variations.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and travel across military airfield operations for extended periods daily.

Why Join ACET:

ACET continues to expand its aerospace and aviation sustainment operations supporting multiple Department of Defense aviation platforms worldwide. This position provides the opportunity to directly shape strategic sustainment growth initiatives while supporting operational readiness and mission success across the global aviation enterprise.
