Job Description
About the Role
The Community Care Corps Volunteer Coordinator supports Famicos Foundation’s Community Care Corps initiative by recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers who assist residents and strengthen community connections. Reporting directly to the Director of Community Building & Engagement, this position works closely with the Social Services Coordinator and Community Building & Engagement team to expand volunteer engagement and ensure successful implementation of grant-funded activities.
This role combines volunteer management, community engagement, program coordination, and data tracking to support residents and advance Famicos Foundation’s mission of building healthy, vibrant neighborhoods.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruit, screen, onboard, train, and support volunteers participating in the Community Care Corps program.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and service activities.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, residents, and community partners.
• Support volunteer recognition, retention, and engagement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Community Care Corps grant requirements, including training, documentation, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records, program data, and participation metrics.
• Coordinate program communications, outreach efforts, and volunteer-related events.
• Assist with ordering, organizing, and maintaining program equipment, supplies, and training materials.
• Complete CPR instructor certification and support required volunteer trainings.
• Prepare reports and program updates for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Communications, Political Science, Human Services, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, community programs, outreach initiatives, or related activities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, and other business software applications.
• Experience with Airtable or other data management platforms preferred.
• Reliable transportation for travel to Famicos locations and community service sites.
