About This Position

Description:

Seeking a QIDP to develop and implement Individual Service Plans for adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Will function as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team focused on the development of person centered goals. Qualified individuals must possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferrably in social work, education, nursing, or a related field and have a minimum of one year’s experience working in an ICF setting. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and be computer literate. This is a full time salaried position with a comprehensive benefit package. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes and maintains an environment that fosters both resident/consumer and staff personal growth
  • Assures that each individual receives active treatment and that their emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical needs are fulfilled
  • Evaluates and implements individual programs.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the the ISP to insure quality service
  • Provides technical and direct supervisory assistance in planning, evaluating, monitoring, developing and implementing programs
  • Coordinates and develops community resources; serves as a liaison with community agencies
  • Trains and guides staff in areas related to Individuals’ programs and services
  • Conducts or assists in training programs, meetings, speaks to community groups, organizations to inform public
Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • B.A. or B.S. required; preferably in Education, Psychology, or Social Work
  • One-year experience in working with intellectually disabled persons in a residential facility, school, or supported living
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license
  • Ability to become a company driver and certified med passer
  • Knowledge and ability to resolve complaints from parents, citizens, and government officials
  • Knowledge of appropriate developmental-treatment programs
  • Knowledge of the rights of the individuals
  • The ability to promote human dignity and protect the constitutional rights of the residents
  • Knowledge of behavioral techniques and interventions
  • Competent in the use of a computer
  • Knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with all team members
  • Ability to communicate with intellectually disabled adults
