Position Summary:

The Hauler is responsible for safely transporting raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and waste between production areas and construction site locations. This role ensures efficient material flow throughout the facility and supports production schedules by maintaining timely and accurate deliveries. This role also supports our construction site locations by transporting necessary materials, tools and equipment.

Requirements:

Material Transportation & Handling:

  • Haul materials, parts, and finished products between departments, warehouses, and job sites.
  • Operate company trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.
  • Assist with staging, loading, and unloading materials as needed.

Production Support:

  • Ensure materials are delivered to the correct production lines on time.
  • Remove scrap, waste, and recyclables from production areas and deliver to proper disposal or storage locations.
  • Coordinate with production leads to support daily material needs.
  • Assist with inventory counts and material rotation (FIFO).
Job Site Support:
  • Coordinate with site supervisors on delivery schedules and material needs.
  • Assist with staging, moving, or organizing materials when required.
  • Haul debris, waste, or scrap materials to approved disposal facilities.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all OSHA, DOT (if driving), and company safety procedures.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and report needed repairs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-operating vehicles.
Documentation & Communication:
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, material movement records, and inventory documentation.
  • Communicate delays, shortages, or discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Work closely with the shipping/receiving and production teams to keep material flow consistent.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills with production and logistics teams.
  • Ability to operate various material-handling equipment safely.
  • Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong desire to learn and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to follow all safety precautions and willingness to wear protective clothing
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
  • Basic reading and math skills for inventory and documentation.
  • Physical stamina and strength.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50-70lbs use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred if transporting heavy loads or operating large trucks).
  • Experience with box trucks, flatbeds, or internal shuttle vehicles.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Previous construction and/or manufacturing experience and training preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S practices preferred.
Work Hours & Benefits:

Shifts are currently 7:30am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday. Depending on skill and experience, the pay rate is from $20/hr. Applicants looking for part-time positions will also be considered.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor construction sites; exposure to weather, dust, and heavy equipment.
  • Frequent driving, loading/unloading, and physical activity.
  • Early morning hours or overtime may be required depending on project schedules.
  • Manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, machinery, forklifts, and changing temperatures.
