Summary: As a Front Desk Agent, incumbent will provide reception services for guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience through the duration of the guest’s stay. A Front Desk Agent contributes to the first and lasting impressions of our guests.

Essential Functions:
• Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Assists guests in a friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up as necessary.
• Knows all essential aspects of our casino and hotel operations.
• Registers guests and manages the rooming chart.
• Collects payments and provides change.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number; and operating credit card authorization systems.
• Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Provides pre-arrival support for guests arriving on packages.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Document all guest complaints or problems. Notify appropriate department/team member to resolve the situation.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy.
• Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with oncoming team members.
• Operates and maintains office equipment, including but not limited to: computer, programmable telephone system, programmable fax and multi-use photocopier.
• Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of guest service experience required.
• Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in windows-based programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software and databases.
• Ability to reference and understand information related to promotions, amenities, and local attractions.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to meet deadlines, and work well in pressure situations.
• Ability to operate multi-line phone.
• Must be able to maintain focus in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
• Must be able to work varying hours and shifts such as graveyard, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a non-gaming permit.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
• Manual finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• Must be able to frequently stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat and reach.
• Ability to be given verbal and written instruction and apply the instruction accurately.
• Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
• Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
• Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke, fumes or airborne particles.
