JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Performs various tasks to advance the sales and service to our mortgage customers and referral partners.
Essential Functions

- Support the Mortgage Pipeline
- Assist the Loan Officer in managing loan files from application through closing.
- Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation such as income, asset, and credit information.
- Prepare loan files for submission to processing and underwriting.
- Track loan progress and ensure milestones are met for timely closings.
- Deliver an Outstanding Client Experience
- Serve as a key point of contact for borrowers throughout the loan process.
- Provide proactive updates to clients and real estate partners.
- Help answer borrower questions and guide them through next steps.
- Ensure a smooth and professional experience from application to closing.
- Coordinate with Internal Teams
- Work closely with processors, underwriters, and closing staff.
- Assist in clearing underwriting conditions and gathering additional documentation.
- Maintain accurate records in the Loan Origination System.
- Support Business Growth
- Help maintain relationships with real estate agents and referral partners.
- Assist with follow-up communication and client touchpoints.
- Support marketing initiatives, open houses, and community events when needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
Travel
Limited local travel may be required for this position.
Education and Experience
- Requires one year of experience working in mortgage banking
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services preferred
- Knowledge of mortgage products and loan documentation preferred
- Familiarity with mortgage technology platforms and Loan Origination Systems preferred
