Ellis Medicine is seeking a Urologist to join our growing urology practice in Schenectady, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a urologist at any stage of their career- including new graduates- to join an established practice with strong referral volume, advanced surgical technology, dedicated operating room access, and significant opportunity to build and grow a practice.

The successful candidate will join an established urology practice currently supported by an experienced urologist and an office-based APP. Subspecialty interests are welcome, and the incoming physician will have the flexibility to develop areas of clinical and surgical focus based on their interests and the needs of the community.

Clinical Responsibilities

The incoming urologist will provide comprehensive adult urologic care in the outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings. The physician will have significant flexibility in developing their practice into what works best for them.

Responsibilities will include:

• Evaluate and manage new and established urology patients
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of adult urologic conditions
• Build and grow an outpatient patient panel within an established referral base
• Perform office-based urologic procedures, including TRUS, cystoscopy, Botox injections, bladder instillations, and excision/fulguration procedures
• Perform inpatient urology consultations and round on appropriate urology patients
• Perform scheduled surgical procedures with potential for additional OR access based on surgical volume
• Develop a surgical practice based on clinical interests and expertise
• Take advantage of opportunities to perform or develop robotic procedures
• Participate in the urology call rotation, 1:4
• Help expand urologic services and procedural capabilities at Ellis Medicine

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
• New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply
• Candidates with subspecialty interests are welcome

Recruitment Package

Ellis Medicine offers a competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional and personal transition to our organization, including:

• Competitive guaranteed base salary for 2 years of $510k-$555k with the ability to earn more in productivity
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
• $50,000 Starting Bonus
• $25k Retention Bonus on first and second anniversary
