Job Description
Ellis Medicine is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to join our growing Radiology team in Schenectady, New York. This is an on-site opportunity for a physician who enjoys a broad range of interventional procedures and the opportunity to work collaboratively with vascular surgery and other clinical services.
Ellis Medicine is undergoing an exciting transition within its Radiology program, creating an opportunity for an Interventional Radiologist to play an important role in supporting and developing the future of IR services at Ellis.
The position offers the option of a four-day-per-week schedule with a combination of outpatient and acute interventional radiology cases.
Position Highlights
- Full-time position- open to a 4-day work week model
- Combination of outpatient and acute IR cases
- Approximately 15–16 IR procedures per day across the current program
- Broad procedural mix with opportunities for both routine and complex image-guided procedures
- Close collaboration with vascular surgery
- Dedicated IR procedural space and additional procedural capabilities
- Five ultrasound procedure bays
- PACS: Fuji Synapse
- EMR: Cerner
- Opportunity to help shape and grow the future of Ellis's Interventional Radiology program
Clinical Responsibilities
The Interventional Radiologist will provide comprehensive image-guided procedural care for both outpatient and emergent patients.
Clinical responsibilities may include:
- CT-guided biopsies and procedures
- CT-guided chest tube placement
- Fistulograms and declot procedures
- IVC filter placement and retrieval
- Embolization procedures
- Abscess drainage
- Nephrostomy tube placement and management
- Cholecystostomy drainage
- Angiography
- Image-guided ablation procedures
- Vascular access procedures
- Other image-guided procedures based on physician expertise and department needs
- Collaboration with vascular surgery and referring physicians
- Evaluation and management of patients before and after procedures
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
- Experience with a broad range of interventional procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with vascular surgery, radiology, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Recruitment Package
Ellis Medicine offers a competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional and personal transition to our organization, including:
- Competitive guaranteed base salary for 2 years of $700k-$800k with the ability to earn more in productivity
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
- $100,000 Starting Bonus
