Summary:

Vighter is recruiting energetic and outgoing Healthcare recruiters (entry level) to join our team. Recruiters are responsible for identifying and screening potential candidates for a multitude of healthcare roles for a variety of government contracts. Recruiters must be approachable and engaging, with an ability to sell both the organization and the required job or career path.

Some recruiting operations include attracting candidates for contract bids where the contract has not yet been awarded. Must be able to work with a certain amount of ambiguity. Sometimes, Vighter will not have all of the information or rates about a project before recruiting.

Recruiters specialize in sourcing and attracting talent from our general and internal candidate pools gaining competitive advantage and fueling the company’s growth through successful placements. Recruiters filter and screen candidates using the ADP applicant tracking system, searching for certain keywords and phrases, and evaluating their resumes and cover letters to make sure they have the right qualifications for a given job.

Healthcare recruiters should also possess certain skills that can help them excel in the role:

• Communication skills help recruiters develop relationships with employers and job seekers and give persuasive sales pitches to potential employees.

  • Recruiters should be detail-oriented to properly evaluate applicants’ qualifications, including any necessary credentials. Proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Healthcare recruiters should also have strong multitasking and organizational skills. To be effective, recruiters must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and keep track of multiple applicants.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Source and attract candidates by using the HRIS, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), databases, social media platforms, virtual and in person recruiting events and hiring fairs.
  • Screen candidate’s cover letters, resumes and job applications.
  • Transition external resumes to Vighter- or Contract-specific formats.
  • Conduct interviews using reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
  • Apply HR recruiting best practices, under director of the Recruiting Manager.
  • Build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Meets successful contact goals as directed by the Director of Business Support and Recruiting Manager.
  • Meets call targets of 15 candidates/day using a variety of physical and virtual contact methods.
  • Meets placement targets of 5% of available positions.
  • A deep sense of purpose and dedication to the United States and our U.S. Military Veterans, their Families, and other patients as assigned.
  • An unshakeable adherence to quality and continuous process improvement.
  • An apolitical, patient-centered focus that drives to enhanced care and patient satisfaction
  • Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of records, information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling and prioritization skills.

Education:

  • High School degree or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree in business or HR is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a recruiter is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, conversational, competency, stress).
  • Experience with selection processes (phone screening, interviewing, reference checks, referrals).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong decision-making skills.
  • Government contracting experience highly preferred.

Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:

  • This is a day shift position with some work, mission dependent, at night and on weekends. As a salaried employee, it is important to be able to be available to speak with candidates at their availability. Our business hours represent a general framework, from which you may earn a degree of flexibility to report early if sourcing a candidate works nights and who is only available in the morning. Your supervisor may approve limited late starts if the candidate works days and is only available at night.

Travel:

  • As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Commuting is non-compensatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or sit for more than 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
  • Must undergo Urine Drug Screen (UDS).
  • Must be a Citizen of the United States or legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
