Job Summary
The Marketing and Event Coordinator will support the Marketing and Events Manager and Sales Team and is responsible for executing marketing campaigns for Global Ordnance and exclusive brands, managing social media channels, and assisting in trade show and event planning and execution. This position will report to the Marketing Manager and will be dynamic within our team as a collaborator and resource for multiple departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop content strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
Create engaging content that represents our brands, including photos, videos, written articles, emails, ads, surveys, etc.
Design targeted email campaigns and promotions
Build and manage social media content calendar
Ensure social post content adheres to social media guidelines and best practices.
Prepare brochures, ads, posters, product sheets, presentations, and similar assets
Maintenance and ordering of physical marketing assets and giveaway items
Source and negotiate with external contacts to provide marketing assets
Organize and maintain company sales and marketing assets including documents, product information, images, logos, brand guide, catalogs, and other relevant files
Assist with planning, execution, and attendance of trade shows, events, and meetings
Perform other related duties as needed/assigned by the Marketing Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or at least two years work experience in related industry or field.
Understanding of social media management and guidelines.
Strong MS Office skills.
Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.)
Experience with Email Marketing software (MailChimp, HubSpot, etc.)
Basic working knowledge of BigCommerce and Wordpress sites
Experience with influencer marketing and systems (AvantLink, Leaddyno, etc.)
Strong analytical skills.
Sporting and Firearms related industry experience preferred.
Law Enforcement/Military background is a plus.
Initiative and drive.
Critical thinking skills.
Strategic thinker and problem solver.
Ability to deliver time-pressured projects on-time and on-quality with flexible and creative thinking.
Excellent presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Effective communicator, verbal/written.
Strong and natural attention to detail
Ability to travel, including overnights and weekends
Physical Demands and Abilities
Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
Standing for long periods during trade shows or events
Traveling, including overnight and weekends, by plane or car, as needed for trade shows and events
Working Conditions
Work will be mostly completed in a climate-controlled office environment, but sometimes requires working in the climate-controlled warehouse. Trade shows and events occur multiple times per year and may require walking or standing for long periods of time.
