Job Description
Full Time - The ability to work some evenings and weekends is required.
Responsible for day-to-day management of branch operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with bank policies and procedures. Provide guidance and training to branch personnel on operational problems, handling of exceptions, adjustments and sales. Ensure efficient and courteous customer service is maintained in branch. Project a positive image of the bank within the community through involvement in local organizations. Participate in personnel decisions including hiring, scheduling, and evaluating performance. Oversee the opening and closing of the branch. Provide expert service to customers and resolves customer problems, complaints, and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner. Perform relationship banker duties as required.

Job Duties:
- Ensure staff achieves sales and service objectives by coaching and presenting outstanding individual performance in these areas.
- Identify problems and initiate resolutions efficiently, notify appropriate resources of issues, and outcomes, and ensure inquiries and investigations are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee and audits operational procedures, which may include those for ATM, safe deposit, negotiable instruments, night deposit, etc.
- May function as vault teller, responsible for distribution, verification and proof of vault cash.
- Perform security function by opening and closing bank and vault and ensuring overall safety and security of bank personnel.
- Assist Branch Manager in ensuring bank security and compliance, compliance with state and federal laws within scope of position, and prominent display of required posters.
- Accomplish bank customer service operations by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching staff.
- Directly supervise employees in the Retail Department.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, which include but are not limited to: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Support less experienced Relationship Bankers by verifying transactions, signing checks, explaining procedures, and providing overrides, as necessary.
- Manage branch in the absence of Branch Manager.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in Branch Banking with supervisory responsibility.
- Sales orientation. Possesses the ability and desire to anticipate customers’ needs to offer and sell the appropriate banking products to customers.
- Proficient computer skills, which includes the ability to use a keyboard, ten-key pad and basic capability to access information contained within bank wide systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of bank clients.
- Must have strong verbal, written, math, customer service, sales, banking, PC and operational skills.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others is required.
