BIM Structural Drafter - Revit Required in Meridian, Idaho at Tamarack Grove Engineering PLLC

We are seeking a skilled and innovative BIM Drafter/Designer who has a higher-level proficiency in Revit and who also has a passion for structural design to join our dynamic team. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year higher level Revit experience in the structural engineering field in the U.S. Only those who are able to model complex structures, create/edit Revit families, with the ability to problem-solve Revit challenges, will be considered.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of sustainable, high-quality design solutions across a wide range of projects, fostering creativity and demonstrating technical excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, along with proficiency in various design software.

As a BIM Drafter/Designer, you will collaborate with project managers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and accurately.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Higher level proficiency in Revit is required; must be able to model complex structures, create/edit Revit families, and the ability to problem-solve Revit challenges.
• Experience in a structural engineering office or related industry creating construction documents is required.
• Associates or advanced degree in a design/drafting-related field is strongly preferred.
• Highly experienced in structural drafting, modeling, and reviewing and preparing construction documents.
• Advanced knowledge of how structures go together, construction types (timber frame, logs, stick built), structural materials, and fasteners.
• Dedication to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software such as Revit for effective design execution.
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing structural drawings and documents, ensuring compliance with codes, office standards and industry standards.
• Implement redlines from engineers, team manager, and clients to modify and create details and construction documents.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure the drawings meet the design requirements and project objectives.
• Take verbal directions and apply that direction to the production of construction documents accurately.
• Recognize structural or constructability issues present in construction documents, and work with Team Leader and engineer to resolve these issues.
