Job Description
Charter School | Westside Jacksonville, FL
Legacy Solutions, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-focused Elementary Teacher for Grades 5–6 for one of our charter school partners located on the Westside of Jacksonville, Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping upper-elementary students grow academically, socially, and personally while creating a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
Position Responsibilities
The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction for students in 5th and/or 6th grade.
Providing instruction in assigned core academic subjects.
Developing lesson plans that address varying student learning styles and academic needs.
Utilizing technology and innovative instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
Assessing and monitoring student academic progress and using data to guide instruction.
Providing differentiated instruction, intervention, and enrichment when appropriate.
Establishing clear classroom expectations, routines, and procedures.
Maintaining a positive, structured, safe, and student-centered classroom environment.
Communicating effectively with students, parents, administrators, and other instructional staff.
Maintaining accurate grades, attendance, student records, and required documentation.
Participating in faculty meetings, professional development, parent conferences, and school activities.
Supporting the school's mission, culture, academic goals, and expectations for student achievement.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Previous experience teaching elementary or middle-grade students is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate strong classroom management, communication, organization, technology, and instructional skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
Successful candidates must also satisfy all applicable background screening, Level 2 fingerprinting, employment verification, and school compliance requirements prior to placement.
