  • Work directly with technicians to resolve recurring failure modes and improve repair processes.
  • Recommend corrective actions to improve product reliability, maintainability, and repairability.
  • Support Engineering Investigations (EIs), FRACAS activities, and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain "golden unit" test strategies and reference configurations where appropriate.
  • Evaluate component obsolescence impacts on test equipment and repair capability.
Sustaining Engineering
  • Support product lifecycle management activities for legacy and active avionics products.
  • Assist in evaluating redesigns, retrofit opportunities, and alternate component solutions.
  • Support engineering verification testing associated with ECRs, ECOs, and product modifications.
  • Perform technical assessments supporting customer service requests and field issues.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Leadership to identify opportunities for improving supportability and reducing lifecycle costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Systems, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Support organizations.
  • Support FAA Part 145 Repair Station activities and regulatory compliance requirements where applicable.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, turnaround time, throughput, and test efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree and 0 - 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience writing system requirements and validation procedures
  • Experience with system test development and execution
  • Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple teams
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and remove barriers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently with limited oversight
  • Familiarity with avionics systems such as TCAS, Transponders, ADS-B, and TAWS
