Job Summary:
Coordinates systems and procedures with the rehab team, facilitator, and mentor to cultivate a safe, efficient, and effective environment of care. The RN is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating patient care by coordinating, delegating, and supervising the care provided by the healthcare team.
Specifically, guides staff or provides direct patient care, including evaluation and physician prescribed exercise with an emphasis on development of individualized exercise programs based on initial assessment/results.Provides risk factor modification, education and counseling in order to limit adverse physiologic and psychological effects of cardiac, pulmonary or vascular illness, provides secondary prevention and enhances optimal wellness.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an Accredited School or College of Nursing. 2. Current licensure to practice as Registered Nurse. 3. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. 4. One (1) year experience in Critical Care nursing or related area and one (1) year experience involving the treatment of Cardiac/pulmonary Rehab patients. 5. Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation. PREFERRED: Strong background in pacemaker interpretation and functioning. 6. Clinical expertise, extensive knowledge and experience with the patient population served. 7. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. 8. Excellent communication and coaching skills. 9. Effective prioritization and organizational skills.
