Position: Floor Technician
Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Terrazzo Floor Experience: Preferred, but not required

SuiteMate Staffing Solutions is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to maintain flooring and assigned areas to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable operating commercial floor-care equipment and working with cleaning chemicals.

• Clean and maintain offices, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces.

• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, and maintain various floor surfaces.

• Remove spots and stains from carpeting.

• Perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning.

• Operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuums, and shop vacuums.

• Move furniture before cleaning and return it to its proper location afterward.

• Properly measure, mix, dispense, and label cleaning chemicals.

• Operate chemical dispensing equipment safely.

• Dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection as required.

• Clean, maintain, and properly store equipment and PPE.

• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

• Maintain floors and work areas to help reduce slip, trip, and fall hazards.

• Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.

• Complete assigned duties while working efficiently around interruptions.

• Previous floor technician, janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.

• Terrazzo floor-care experience preferred but not required.

• Experience with stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning is a plus.

• Ability to safely operate commercial floor-care equipment.

• Ability to follow chemical labels, safety instructions, and proper dilution procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work the 3rd shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving furniture during the shift.
